This post is more of a plea for advice than an update. I’ll be starting my night rating soon (in Canada, night flying privileges don’t come with a private license) and I’m looking for a good flashlight, preferably one that can change from red to white/blue light. I have zero experience with flying at night but I’d like to be able to switch colours so I can use the white on the ground for the walk-around and then obviously red in the cockpit. LED would be preferred just because it’s so much more efficient, but I’ll take any suggestions I can get.
So if you currently use an awesome flashlight or know of one that’s good for night flying, please let me know in the comments. Or, if you have any tips/advice for when I start, let me know. I’ll take all the help I can get. Thanks!
