As expected, the weather yesterday wasn’t conducive to the VFR flying environment, so I’ve rescheduled for this Friday at 1400. This weekend is looking pretty nice: mainly sunny, -1ºC, 6kt winds.
I recently ordered my first (real) flight bag from a pilot shop in Quebec called VIP Pilot Centre. I’ve been using my backpack for a year and half to carry around my books, map, kneeboard and other necessities, but I figured it was time to get something a little more official. The actual bag I got was this one and so far I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve yet to actually go anywhere with it (other than walking around in my room to test how comfy it is), but I loaded all my stuff into it and everything fits. I recently bought a DC headset a couple of months ago, so its nice to have a bag that’s meant to carry one.
For now, that’s about all the exciting aviation news on my front. Hopefully this Friday I’ll finish my flight test, which I believe I started a month ago. I attempted to come up with a bad joke about how time flies, but then the weather got bad and time had to be grounded, and that’s why it feels like its been taking so long to get this PPL, but I couldn’t come up with anything good.
I’ve just realized I booked my flight test for a “Friday the 13th”. Good thing I’m not superstitious. If I fail, I might start though.
